- preheat oven to 375°F.
- prepare baking sheet by lightly greasing it or line with parchment paper..
- in a medium bowl sift together the flour, sugar,salt and baking powder..
- then add sugar,butter,egg and vanilla..
- blend until well mixed..
- add raisins and keep folding until blended..
- drop by the heaping teaspoonful onto prepared cookie sheets about 2 inches apart..
- lightly press back of spoon onto top of cookie dough to flatten slightly..
- bake for 15 min. or until lightly browned. remove from oven and let sit on cookie sheet for 3 min..
- remove from baking sheet and transfer to wire racks to cool completely..
- serve! makes about 14 good sized cookies..
